Information:

The Township operates an Office of Emergency Management (OEM) which includes the departments of Administration, Police, Fire, Health, Public Works, Engineering and Building.  OEM has an up to date Emergency Preparedness Plan that is reviewed and tested on an annual basis.

The Maplewood OEM works through the County of Essex OEM, the State OEM, which is a function of the State Police, as well as Federal Agencies such as Federal Emergency Management Agency in the US Department of Homeland Security.
