Feeding a Stray? Neuter or Spay!
St. Hubert's offers LOW-COST VOUCHERS for spay/ neuter services, animal vaccinations, microchip and mandatory eartip. Left unaltered, free-roaming cats continue to reproduce creating more homeless kittens, Once spayed/ neutered, vaccinated and eartipped, these community cats can remain where they are and live out their lives as healthy cats without adding to the homeless cat population. Vouchers can be purchased at St. Hubert's at their Madison (973) 377-2295 or North Branch (908) 526-3330 locations.
People for Animals: A Partner in Controlling the Feral Cat Colonies Through the Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate and Release (TNVR) Program.
People for Animals is a non-profit organization based in Hillside, NJ. They will be assisting Maplewood Township to do low cost spay/neuter, rabies vaccinations, distemper and microchipping for stray feral cats. We work with local volunteer caretakers to help these feral cats. Call People for Animals at (973) 282-0890 x222 for further information. Note also that owned cats and dogs can receive low cost spay/ neutering by making an appointment with People for Animals.
