Newark Community Health Centers
The mission of the Newark Community Health Center is to provide affordable, quality health care. NCHC are federally qualified health centers with locations in Newark, Irvington, East Orange and Orange. The total care program provides adult and family medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, dentistry, optometry, podiatry and an Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist. Additional services include social work support services, HIV Testing & Counseling, Nutritional Counseling and Outreach services. Mary Eliza Mahoney Health Centers
The mission of the Department of Health and Community Wellness is to provide and advocate for comprehensive health care, social, and environmental services to ensure an optimal level of health and well-being. They offer medical services for: adult, pediatric, WIC, dental, immunizations, childhood lead screening, specialty care, sexually transmitted infection screening and treatment and mammograms. Zufall Health Center
Zufall Health Center is a Federally Qualified Health Center, located in West Orange. As a fully licensed, Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), they provide high-quality, affordable, compassionate medical and dental care to patients in Essex County. Zufall Health welcomes patients of all ages, from newborns to seniors, regardless of income or insurance status. They offer a broad range of primary care and support services. Zufall’s bilingual, board-certified physicians and staff provide a full range of services including annual physical exams, treatment of illness and injury, and prevention and management of chronic illness such as diabetes and hypertension.

New Life Health and Wellness Center

New Life Health and Wellness Center offers healthcare for the uninsured and underinsured PEDIATRIC population. A Nurse Practitioner Practice, their medical services include: work, school and sports physicals, women's health, on-site blood work, treatment for diabetes, hypertension and other chronic conditions. All adult residents, ages 18 and over (whether insured, Medicare enrolled or uninsured) are welcome to attend the adult health clinics which are offered two times a month and are free for Maplewood residents. Services provided include: blood pressure screenings, counseling services on medication, blood labs, weight management and nutrition, carotid bruit screening and diabetes risk assessment and health education. Call the Maplewood Health Department at (973) 762-8120 x 4300 for the Nursing Department to schedule an appointment or to get the monthly schedule.
