The Mission of the Newark Community Health Center is to provide affordable, quality health care. NCHC are federally qualified health centers with locations in Newark, Irvington, East Orange and Orange. The total care program provides adult and family medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, dentistry, optometry, podiatry and an Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist. Zufall Health Center
Zufall Health Center is a Federally Qualified Health Center, located in West Orange. As a fully licensed, Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), they provide high-quality, affordable, compassionate medical and dental care to patients in Essex county. Zufall Health welcomes patients of all ages, from newborns to seniors, regardless of income or insurance status. They offer a broad range of primary care and support services. New Life Health and Wellness Center 12 Prospect St., Bloomfield
New Life Health and Wellness Center offers healthcare for the uninsured and underinsured PEDIATRIC population. A Nurse Practitioner Practice, their medical services include: work, school and sports physicals, women's health, on-site blood work, treatment for diabetes, hypertension and other chronic conditions. Township Adult Health Clinics
All adult residents, ages 18 and over (whether insured, Medicare enrolled or uninsured) are welcome to attend the adult health clinics which are offered two times a month and are free for Maplewood residents. Services provided include: blood pressure screenings, counseling services on medication, blood labs, weight management and nutrition, carotid bruit screening and diabetes risk assessment and health education. Call the Maplewood Health Department at (973) 762-8120 x 4300 for the Nursing Department to schedule an appointment or to get the monthly schedule.

Highly recommended for those who are caregivers of those who are sick or seniors. Cost: $20.00 for all adults, 18-64. Flu shot is FREE for all senior residents, 65 years and older as well as Medicare and Medicaid recipients who are Maplewood residents.

Cleaning out your medicine cabinet or moving? Do you have prescriptions that you are no longer using? Turn in your unused or expired medication for safe disposal at the Maplewood Police Department. For questions on how to properly dispose of used medical syringes, please contact the Maplewood Health Department.
FREE Skin Cancer Screening at Saint Barnabas

Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States. Based on current statistics from the American Cancer Society, more than 1 million cases of skin cancer are diagnosed yearly in the United States but if detected early, most skin cancers can be successfully treated.
