2016 ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT GOALS:
? Complete paving on Springfield Ave. from Jacoby to Irvington Town Line.
? Improve handicap accessibility at 60 Woodland road by obtaining CDBG funding.
? Repave Van Ness Terrace using CDBG funding (carryover from 2015)
? Implement Safe Streets to Schools upgrades around the Clinton School
? Complete various upgrades at 60 Woodland Road including gutters, kitchen, and doors.
? Work with other departments to get capital improvements completed,
? Continue to improve drainage in those problematic areas on various roads. Areas potentially include, Kermit, Oakview, Courter, and Franklin Ave.
? Continue with the Implementation of a Township-wide Bicycle Facility Plan. Potentially improve the area of Parker and Dunnell
? Continue to provide maintenance and upgrades to Municipal properties, specifically as it relates to handicap accessibility.
? Continue to seek grant funding to fund the continuing repairs/upgrades of Township buildings including the Library and Township Hall. This effort will be coordinated with Ms. DePalma, the Township’s grant-writer.
? Implement those projects for which we have received funding to keep the awards intact.
? Continue implementation of the road improvement program and other necessary capital improvement initiatives.
? Continue with implementation of traffic calming measures as well requests that are submitted by residents in accordance with established policies.
? Continue the initiatives and programs with respect to compliance with the state adopted Municipal Storm Water Regulations
? Continue with the rehabilitation of the Township’s sanitary sewer system
