The Maplewood Office of Cultural Affairs organizes and facilitates performances and cultural activities throughout the Township of Maplewood, New Jersey. The department serves as a liaison between arts organizations and the greater Maplewood community by maintaining a newsletter, Facebook page, and public events calendar in order to inform the public on upcoming cultural events. Cultural Affairs also sponsors and assists in the planning of these events, working both independently and in conjuction with the Springfield Avenue Partnership, Maplewood Arts Council, Rent Party Pantry, and other local organizations.
Additionally, the Office of Cultural Affairs maintains event spaces at The Woodland and the Burgdorff Center For The Performing Arts in order to further the artistic and social development of the Township. These buildings host community events throughout the year and are available for private rental by the community on an individual basis.
