The Bulk Drop Off program is a biannual recycling event that provides Maplewood Residents an opportunity to dispose of bulk items by bringing them to the Department of Public Works facility. Absolutely no construction material will be accepted.
This program is intended for the disposal of household bulk refuse including refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, and furniture, in accordance with the above schedule.
Household bulk refuse is to be dropped off at the Public Works yard only on the dates indicated above, under the following terms:
No building material of any type is accepted. Building material includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Roofing material
- Kitchen cabinets
- Decking windows
- Storm windows
- Any material associated with the remodeling or alteration process
At no time will any of the following be accepted during bulk refuse drop off:

- Tree stumps
- Any electronic items
Regular waste collection will continue to be made from the rear of your home; do not place these containers at the curb.
